The panels are also tasked with the selection of the Yashin Award for the finest male and female goalkeepers, the John Cruyff Award for the top male and female coaches, and the annual prizes for the best male and female clubs. In these accolades, the male panel makes decisions regarding the male categories, while the female panel handles the female categories.
The system for the Annual Young Talent Award varies, as it honors the finest young player under the age of 21. In the male category, the recipients are selected through voting by past winners of the Ballon d'Or. For the female category, a distinguished panel of judges is involved, comprising former Ballon d'Or winners, players who have graced the podium of the Women's Ballon d'Or since its inception in 2018, and a member of the editorial team from France Football.
