Since his initial induction in 2007, the Argentine maestro has etched his name in history by consecutively making the FIFPRO Team of the Year for 17 successive years. However, the previous year marked the end of this impressive streak as he failed to secure a spot on the prestigious list. In the recent times, Messi has once again been named among the contenders for the best team, marking his 20th nomination for the distinguished honor.
